The piece starts as a hollow bubble, which is covered in vaporized precious metal fume, and condensed to solid form in such a way as to create the cave-like pattern with the depth of a vortex and a touch of a twist. The other parts are made separately and then added.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade of borosilicate, flame-worked glass, it is approximately 2 3\/8” x 1 5\/8” x 1 1\/4”, with a clear 5mm bail for a chain (not included) underneath the head. The turtle uses about 1\/8th teaspoon of ash which is infused on the underside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis pendant is a nice-sized statement piece as a pendant. It is also nice as a figurine.
